Shimmer is a scalable, multichain network designed to build, connect, and secure sovereign blockchain environments. It uses a parallelized UTXO-based DAG ledger to enable feeless minting and asset transfers through a storage deposit model. The network supports full EVM compatibility and WASM, positioning itself as a flexible platform for decentralized applications. Shimmer also serves as a staging network for upgrading the IOTA ledger. The initial blockchain, ShimmerEVM, eradicates traditional asset composability issues.
