Description
The Lisk Italian Group (LIG) is a key community-driven initiative aimed at fostering the expansion and adoption of the Lisk blockchain technology within Italy. Leveraging the global appeal of Lisk, known for its user-friendly approach to blockchain application development through JavaScript and TypeScript, the LIG is committed to building a robust ecosystem. This involves organizing educational events such as meetups and workshops, and spreading awareness to enhance Lisk's footprint among Italian developers and blockchain advocates. Established by 10 dedicated Italian delegates since around March-April 2016 following Lisk's ICO, the group dedicates individual skills towards the continual development of Lisk, focusing on funding and promoting blockchain applications (B-Apps) and tools related to Lisk. Additionally, the LIG manages the FULIG, an official fund supported by voluntary donations from Lisk earnings, aimed at financing these projects. This initiative not only bridges the gap between Lisk's global foundation and the local Italian market but also actively contributes to the growth of Lisk's applications and visibility in Italy.
